NCBA Pre-Convention Agriculture Tour

Ticket Price: $210 per person

Monday night begins with dinner at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix (a 5 minute walk down the street from the Phoenix Convention Center). Meet our Ag Tour Sponsor, Caterpillar, and dine under the beautiful Phoenix sky at the Valley Overlook dining area.

Tuesday's tour begins at 6:30am and features the following stops:

Caterpillar Eloy Dealership

Participate in a CAT equipment demonstration.  The 35 Acre facility is home to over 400 pieces of equipment and several hundred more work tools.  This facility serves as a Used Sales Center for Empire and Caterpillar’s Western Region Sales Center for CAT Finance as well as Pre-Delivery for new inventory distributed throughout the territory.  The group will be entertained by an equipment demonstration from Tinaja Hills equipment operators and end with a tour of the yard and equipment.

Dairy Tour

Tom Dugan, owner of T & K Dairy, will take you on a tour of the 10,000 head dairy. T & K Dairy was originally known as the Red River Feed Yard owned by John Wayne. The tour will include a stop at the dairy barn to view the milking operations. 

Caywood Farms

Come pick lint from cottonseeds and compare the lengths of Pima and Upland cotton at Caywood Farms.  Caywood Farms is a fourth-generation, family-operated cotton farming business located near Casa Grande, Arizona.  In addition to learning about cotton—you will be informed about: farmers as stewards of the land; the importance of water conservation; and challenges facing family farm owners in Arizona.

Queen Creek Olive Mill

Experience the Olive Oil 101 Tour at Queen Creek Olive Mill where you will learn the history of the company, sustainable farming practices from planting techniques to pressing methods and producing real, delicious extra virgin olive oil!  You will also learn the qualities and standards of olive oil, health benefits & why it's important to 'Know Your Farmer'!

Discover how to correctly taste olive oil (no bread!). Enjoy a beverage and get a chance to taste some of Queen Creek Olive Mill’s products.
